FAQ

How to get to Baza?

Best is of course by bike ;).

The closest bigger international airport is from Malaga. There are buses to every hour from the airport to Granada. From there you can arrive by bike. From Granada it is a stunning one day ride (120km/1700m) you can also take a local train to Guadix and pedal from there.

It is also worth checking flights to Granada, Almeria and Alicante.

Rental cars are usually very cheap at that time of the year. You will find taxi services from Malaga Airport or Granada to Baza.

In case you got the time we highly recommend you to explore as well Granada and/or the coasts of Andalusia during your stay.

Do I have to be a skilled cyclist?

No, you should simply feel comfortable riding on loose ground.

What is the perfect bike set up?

We believe a Gravel bike with 45mm tubeless tires and 1.8 bar. You will be also fine on slightly smaller tires or on a MTB with fast-rolling tires.

What is the weather like in Andalusia in April?

April is the perfect time to come to Andalusia. It is already warm but without the extreme heat of the summer.

Do I need any insurance?

Of course, you should have a valid health and travel insurance.
